"Air Jordan"

Basketball player Michael Jeffrey Jordan (he was known as Michael Jordan) was born in Brooklyn, New York, in 1963. Michael Jeffrey Jordan, was the fourth son of James and Deloris Jordan. Seven years later the fam
ily moved to Wilmington, North Carolina.
In 1975, he joined the "Dixie Youth Baseball." Two years later, he went to "DCVirgo Junior High School",
where he practised for three different sports: basketball, baseball and football. Representing the “Laney High School” in basketball, in 1978 it was the first time he used the legendary number 23, who accompanied him throughout most of his career. In that school he also played football and took the decision to leave baseball. In 1980, he got a scholarship to play at the University of North Carolina. After some time, he was named Rookie of the Year "in the Eastern Conference and won the dunk in the NCAA. He had big talent and Jordan was selected for the first time for the U.S. national team. A year later, Chicago Bulls selected him in the NBA's annual draft and in the Olympic Games in Los Angeles he won his first gold medal. In 1985, he was voted the "Rookie of the Year" from the NBA and first joined the team of stars. One year later, he broke his foot and stood outside 64 games. In 1987 for his big talent, for his skill and elasticity he was awarded the “Scorer of the Year”. And in '88 he joined the "Best Defensive Team" and he was the "Most Valuable Player" of the NBA. After two years, he was named the "Most Valuable Player of the season and the playoffs”. And the magazine Sports illustrated him the "Sportsman of the Year." In 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games he saw the first and unique “Dream Team” of NBA. One year later, his father died and he came into a depression. And consequently he abandoned the NBA. After that, he started to play baseball for the Birmingham Barons. After one year, he returned to his team: The Bulls. And finally, he announced his official return to the NBA to play for the Wizards. After two seasons as a player and shareholder of the Wizards, Jordan who was 40 years old, announced his final retirement as a professional player.
